The Great White Wall

whitespacewithspots Often the art world’s great white walls aren’t the nurturing tabula rasa beckoning artists to fulfillment. Rather, they’re more like a capricious lover that can love, hate, or show indifference, seemingly controlled by the hormonal fluctuations of fashion. So what’s an artist to do, give up exhibiting? That’s like saying you should give up on love just because relationships are difficult. I write this for no one in particular, but if my voice in the night finds empathy, provides solace, or evokes suggestions, so much the better.
